Day 1 We meet you at the Bariloche Airport

Transportation to Lodge in Epuyen or Cholila, Chubut

Our Lodges are located in extraordinary spots, a few minutes away from the Carrileufu River and the Los Alerces National Park entrance. Esquel is the main urban center of this Andean region has an airport that’s open all year round and is located 100 km south of us. There are numerous tourist attractions within a 120 km radius from our location: the town of Trevelín (the second Welsh settlement in Argentina), the old “Patagonian Express” historical train, ethnographic museums, indigenous arts and crafts fairs, and a curious “hippie” artisans fair in the town of El Bolson. The city of Bariloche with its international airport is located 200 km away, connecting us with an international highway that is in optimal condition.

Accommodations in our lodges include double rooms with private bathrooms with a view of the majestic Andes Mountains. The decoration of the lodges is an interesting mountain style and they have a bar open 24 hours a day, a cozy place for relaxing and meeting with friends, wonderful gourmet Patagonian-European fusion cuisine, an excellent wine selection, a comfortable lounge with a fireplace perfect for enjoying a cigar and a nice snifter of well aged whisky.

Day 2 Carrileufu River

This river starts in Lake Cholila and runs for approxiamtely 36 km until it reaches Lake Rivadavia, its waters are a transparent green color which gives it its Mapuche name that translates into “Green River”, it is populated by Atlantic salmon(Salmo Salar), rainbow trout (oncorhynchus mykiss) and brown trout (salmo trutta). This river is ideal for combining fishing with nymphs and dry flies.

It has a lot of sections which are excellent for wading, this makes it very attractive since it is only a few kilometers away from the lodge.

Days 3-4-5-6 Chubut River with Camping

Chubut River: Typical steppe river, its length traverses practically the whole of the Chubut province.

It is surrounded by plateaus, cliffs, and willows (Salix Frágilis) that protect and nourish the fish population. Wading areas abound, from which you will have plenty of opportunity to battle the great brown trout.

This river has a medium size volume, it is not very deep, and has rapids that end in large still pools.

The predominant salmonidae are the rainbow trouts (oncorhynchus mykiss) and the brown trout or Fario (salmo trutta fario) which have a pretty good size of up to 2.5 Kg., they compete for very diverse food like pancoras, foraging fish (puyes, alevines, etc.) aquatic insects like mayflies, caddisflies, stoneflies, dragonflies, and also land insects like grasshoppers, beetles, moths, worms, etc

This river is ideal for lovers of dry flyfishing, using #3 to #6 equipment, with floating lines, it is also important to take nymphs, emergentes and small streamers (pancoras´imitations).

Day 7 Rivadavia River- Los AlercesNational Park

This river lies within the Los Alerces National Park, it starts in Lake Rivadavia and ends in Lake Verde, it runs for approximately 7 km, it also has an ineresting population of lock land salmon (Salmo Salar), rainbow trouts (oncorhynchus mykiss) and brown trout (salmo trutta). This river is ideal for combining fishing with nymphs and with dry flies.

It has several wading areas and is located 25 km from the lodge.

Additional beverages (lunch and dinner include 1 bottle of wine per every 2 people), flies , equipment rental, and any extra item not included in the package will be billed at the end of the trip. Prices are in U$ dollars.

Reservations require payment of 50% of the cost 30 days in advance.

To hold your reservation, we require a 50% deposit, with full payment 30 days prior to your arrival.

Deposits are nonrefundable unless another party can subsequently fill your space. At any time deposits can be applied to a future trip within the same fishing season. Season Nov.1- May 1.
